The Arctic White Fuzz from Bearfoot FX is a highly approachable fuzz, able to get as dirty and gritty as you want, but never too over-the-top and out-of-control, like some other types of fuzz can do. Volume, Tone and Fuzz control knobs are easily adjustable to suit your tonal needs, with a nice range of sounds available in a small layout and enclosure, perfect for saving space on a pedalboard. The Arctic White Fuzz plays well with both clean and dirty amp settings, so no matter what type of music you play, it will add a new voice to your sound. You won’t have any worry about this baby getting lost in the mix, either – plenty of power and boost to cut through any stage setup. It’s got an almost Fuzz Face quality to it, and works with both single coils and humbuckers, which was nice as well. Not too harsh, it produces warm fuzzy tones that conjure up Gilmour and Hendrix-type sounds with ease, with a boatload of sustain on the back end, too.
This was my first foray into the world of Bearfoot FX, and I must say, I was quite impressed. I really like the simplicity of the layout and the pedal overall, from the small control knobs to the hand-written words and gorgeous ‘Snowscape’ sparkle finish. I’m looking forward to testing out some more of their pedals in the near future, make sure to check out their site and see what they have in store for you!
