I know, this isn’t an effects pedal, but they can’t all be, can they? Wait…nevermind. This thing is great, however, for what it does. The VooDoo Lab Amp Selector is exactly what the name tells you it is: an amp selector. There’s more to it than just a clever name, though, so let’s run through the specs.

There are many great qualities to this particular switching system, starting with the sound. There is none. This guy is dead quiet when turned on, and the switches themselves make no noise when being engaged/disengaged. No annoying pops or clicks to speak of, just nice, easy, simple, silent switching between up to 4 amps. Which brings us to our next feature: you can switch between 4 amps! Who would need this many amps, you ask? Well, no one, really, but it sure is fun! specially if you’re using any stereo effects pedals, and want to bounce your signal back and forth between amps, this is your device. 2 inputs can be from 2 different guitars, 2 different pedal setups, whatever you need, and the 4 individual outputs allow you to hook up whatever configuration of amplification that fits your needs. Perfectly.

Each output channel also boasts it’s own Volume control, for dialing in the exact tones and smooth overall sound needed for your rig. You can program the amps to run in any combination of each other, too, which is another great feature. Have one on most of the time, then turn 2 different ones on for a rocking solo boost, or a modulated signal path, and go right back again when you’re done. The Amp Selector won’t color your tone, either, allowing your pure signal to pass right through to your amp setup. Runs 2 stereo setups with ease, or simply toggle between any combination of amplifiers to blow the house (or studio) down.

Simple. Easy. Effective. Useful. Silent. Awesome. The Amp Selector from VooDoo Lab is exactly what you think it is, with a few added bonuses. If you’re in need of a great switching system for your guitar and amp setup, your search has just ended.
