As a musician that is always playing live, it is very important for me to have a warm tone that pushes my guitar out of the mix without mudding everything else. I’ve been searching for a pedal that could give me these features and even more. Two months ago, someone recommended me the Rockerbox Ruby Head Preamp pedal, I tried it and I fell in love with it.
What can this pedal offer me? Well, this pedal is a preamp, it’s full analog and what it does is that it splits the signal in two: a clean one and a preamped one, so you’ll always have a clean signal coming by the output. It can control highs, lows and gain. If you turn the gain knob to it’s maximum point, it will give a nice tube overdrive sound. This pedal has a unique feature, it’s called the “Ruby Tone” when you activate it by moving a switch it pushes the mids and gives a brutal tone. I love this pedal and I am very sure that in a long time I wouldn’t by another preamp.
