We all search for warmth in our amps and pedals; I don’t know one guitarist who doesn’t. That was one of the main factors in selecting the Cream Overdrive from Plush/Fuchs, and it is the reason my tone sounds so good. No bells and whistles, nothing too fancy, just a great overdrive pedal, with ranges from a kind of bluesy mild drive to a thick, sonic distortion when really cranked. 3 simple knobs to control Gain, Tone and Level: just plug in and go. Gorgeous tube amp-like overdrive, emulating but not copying a Tube Screamer, and getting more of an array of sounds pouring from the insides.
Put a boost with this pedal and listen to it sparkle, shine and growl. I love it with humbuckers, so dynamic in range and easy to dial in mild rock to metal sounds (if that’s what you need) just using the volume knob on your gitbox. Fuchs is pretty well-known for their amps, but their Plush pedals get a lot of chatter as well. Although the Cream OD is the only one I’ve tried so far, if they’re all built like this, and have the attention to detail and sound that Fuchs is capable of, I just might have to try out a couple more.
